Border Patrol Agent Shot, Killed In Trenton
TRENTON (WWJ) - Police in Trenton are investigating the fatal shooting of a U.S. Border Patrol Agent.
The agent, who was assigned to Detroit Sector, was found dead in the parking lot of Oakwood Southshore Medical Center on Fort Street and Vreeland in Trenton Monday night.
A statement from the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol said the agent, whose name has not been released, apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The statement said the Border Patrol regrets the loss of one of its agents and is fully cooperating with the Trenton Police Department's ongoing investigation.
