Police Arrest Alleged Gang Member In Triple Shooting
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit Police say they have made an arrest in the case of a triple shooting that left two people dead earlier this month.
Investigators say 23-year-old Anthony Rosario has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Tyrone Ramirez and his 18-year-old brother Troy. A third person was injured in the shooting.
According to police, the Ramirez brothers and a third victim were walking on Cabot Street at West Vernor, when a gray vehicle pulled up. A verbal altercation occurred when the suspect fired shots, fatally wounding the Ramirez brothers and non-fatally wounding the third victim.
Police say investigation led them to discover the victims and Rosario were members of rival gangs.
Rosario has been arraigned on charges of assault with intent to murder, felony firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, habitual fourth offense, gang membership and two counts of first degree murder. He is being held at the Wayne County Jail.
