Police: 5 Attacked, Robbed Group Of Students
GRAND RAPIDS (AP) - Police say five young men robbed and assaulted a group of college students after scoping out what to steal from the home during a party.
The Grand Rapids Press, WOOD-TV and WZZM-TV report police arrested four, including a 14-year-old boy, and were seeking a 19-year-old man.
Police say the five attended a party on Sunday night and returned about 4 a.m. Monday. Investigators say young men in the home were pistol-whipped and tied up while a young woman was sexually assaulted.
The home is near Grand Valley State University's Pew Campus.
Grand Rapids police Capt. Jeff Hertel says the suspects are a "dangerous group." Police credit tips for helping the investigation.
Police say the five may be responsible for other area crimes, including church burglaries and other break-ins.
