Police: 3 Use Forklifts To Trash Mich. Factory

Authorities say three young men broke into a southwestern Michigan factory and used forklifts to trash the facility during an early-morning, alcohol-fueled ride.

The Kalamazoo Gazette reports police were called to Central Manufacturing Services Inc. in Three Rivers shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday after an employee arrived to find the three driving on the forklifts.

Police arrested a 17-year-old and 18-year-old from Three Rivers, and an 18-year-old from Centreville. Two were bitten by a police dog during the arrests, and were treated before being jailed.

Police said the three broke into the factory to steal things but once inside decided to damage the place. They were expected to face charges of breaking and entering and possession of alcohol by a minor.
