Police: 2 Dead, 2 Injured In Shooting On Detroit's East Side
DETROIT (WWJ) - Police and emergency personnel are on the scene of a shooting on Detroit's east-side.
Detroit police confirm that four people have been shot, two people have been killed and two are injured and taken to an area hospital.
The shooting took place at the Troester-Hayes Market near 7 Mile Road says Detroit Police Chief James Craig.
"Two individuals were sitting in a car - two other individuals were seated on the hood of the vehicle when two young males came up - both armed with guns and both opened fire on the vehicle," said Craig.
A man and a woman in the car were killed and the two people on the hood of the car were injured when the car lurched forward and crashed into a building across the street.
The suspects are still at large. Police are investigating the possibility that the shootings are gang related.
