Police: 2 Dead After SUV Crashes Into Mich. House

FILLMORE TWP. (AP) - Police say two men are dead and a third was hospitalized after a speeding sport utility vehicle went airborne and crashed into a house in southwestern Michigan.

The crash happened Thursday evening in Allegan County's Fillmore Township, near Holland. State police say the 25-year-old driver of the SUV freed himself from the wreckage and was hospitalized, while the two other men were trapped inside and died.

Police tell The Grand Rapids Press that two men from Holland died: 24-year-old Chad Bradbury and 22-year-old Michael Stille. Police say the driver was expected to survive.

Homeowner Scott VanderZwaag tells The Holland Sentinel that he and his family weren't home when the SUV went down an embankment and crashed through a wall.

Police say speed and wet roads likely were factors.
