Points-Shaving Charges Land Ex-Football Player In Fed. Court
DETROIT (WWJ) A former University of Toledo football player pleads guilty in Federal Court in Detroit to points-shaving charges.
Adam Cuomo admits supplying confidential information about his team and its opponents to a Detroit-area gambler who bet on Rockets games.
Cuomo pleads guilty to conspiring to influence sporting events between 2004 and 2006. In all, six ex-Toledo football and basketball players and two Detroit-area businessman were indicted.
A former hoops star pleaded guilty in 2008.
