Plex Systems Grows by 30 Percent in 2011

AUBURN HILLS -- Plex Systems Inc., provider of Plex Online Cloud ERP for manufacturers, Wednesday anounced that its total revenue rose 30 percent in 2011 over 2010 levels, with recurring revenue rising 32 percent.

Privately held Plex does not release dollar values for its revenue and profitability figures.

In 2011, the company added 45 customers and 41 employees. The company also appointed S. Craig Huke as CFO and Edwin J. Gillis joined the board of directors.

"In 2011, a growing number of manufacturers from diverse industries embraced the Cloud ERP model to dramatically improve their operations and lower their costs," said Mark Symonds, Plex Systems president and CEO. "Our community of Plex Online users improved their profitability, streamlined business processes and reduced waste as they helped drive the continuing evolution of the Plex Online software to meet their manufacturing needs. With their input, we continue to innovate, adding features and modules to Plex Online that are valuable to the entire manufacturing community."

In 2011, Plex Systems received 28 awards from industry associations and publications for excellence in technology, business growth and workplace culture. Plex Online users also received 12 awards for their use of Plex Online to achieve strong business results.

Also, Plex Systems employees chose Gleaners Community Food Bank and the St. Clair Butterfly Foundation as the 2011 Plex Systems focus charities. In 2011, the company raised $46,000 in various fundraisers such as wine tasting, beer tasting, silent auctions, breakfasts and bake sales to benefit the less fortunate in the local community.
