Plea Made In Beating Of Blind Michigan Man
A 23-year-old Macomb County man faces sentencing later this month in the robbery of a legally blind man who was beaten with his own walking cane in Mount Clemens.
Macomb County court records show David Anderson pleaded no contest to one count of unarmed robbery and one count of aggravated assault. He'll be sentenced at 10 a.m. January 31st by Judge Peter Maceroni.
Police say Anderson and his teenage brother jumped 50-year-old Daniel Perron in early August and stole $600 just after Perron cashed a disability check.
Local groups gave Perron $600 to replace the stolen money.
Anderson's brother pleaded guilty to unarmed robbery in juvenile court.
