Plantwatch Ready for Distribution
AUBURN HILLS -- HTE Inc., a provider of plant floor technology, said Friday that delivery of its Plantwatch industrial tracking, control and visualization software will now be provided by regional distribution partners.
Applications for distribution are now being accepted for North America with the exception of the Great Lakes Region.
Technical distributors of scanners, sensors or other intelligent plant floor hardware and software can promote Plantwatch as a standalone product or re-badge it for their own industry application.
"Plantwatch has reached the stage in its development where it can be delivered to the marketplace by distribution partners with limited knowledge and support of controls, communications, graphics or the logic engine contained in Plantwatch," said HTE president Dan Reed. "Release 4.1 puts Plantwatch onto the stage of the growing traceability show that's playing out across many industries."
Plantwatch track, control and visualize software was developed to provide a powerful easy to use system to handle the control and traceability functions of a line or plant. Combining graphics, control, a SQL database and connectivity to plant devices allows Plantwatch users to develop their custom applications for traceability, error proofing, and SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition, an industrial control system). With simple drop down menus and a graphic editor, users quickly deploy these systems with the knowledge they can make changes, add equipment and perform "what if" scenarios at their convenience.
Founded in 1990, HTE has been distributing and integrating products and services specializing in machine vision systems, vision guided robotics, AutoID, traceability, error proofing, direct part marking and plant floor data collection.
