Pistons Forward Marcus Morris Sits Out With Knee Tendinitis
AUBURN HILLS (AP) — Detroit Pistons forward Marcus Morris is sitting out against the Brooklyn Nets with left knee tendinitis.
Pistons rookie Stanley Johnson made his first start in place of Morris, who had not missed a game this season.
Morris is averaging 14.1 points per game. Detroit acquired him in an offseason trade with Phoenix.
Johnson, a first-round draft pick by the Pistons, came into Saturday night's game averaging 8.1 points and 21.8 minutes.
