Pistons Drop NBA 2K12 Opener
The Detroit Pistons should have started their 2011-12 season last night at home against the Pacers. That didn't happen due to the current NBA lockout. Karsch and Anderson took it upon themselves to see how the Pistons would fare this year.
Doug and Scott turned on the Playstation 3 and fired up the new NBA 2k12, downloaded the rookies and simulated the Pacers coming into the Palace of Auburn Hills.
These simulations might not be right on since free agency hasn't taken place due to the lockout so the Pistons roster still includes Rodney Stuckey, Tayshaun Prince, Ben Wallace and Rip Hamilton (even though it's not thought that he would be traded.)
The game didn't finish in the Pistons favor as they fell 88-80 in the first game of the year.
Rip Hamilton and rookie Brandon Knight led the way for the Pistons, each scoring 18 points and Knight led the team with 3 assists.
Charlie Villanueva only had 2 points on 1-11 shooting in 22 minutes, Jason Maxiell had 2 points and 9 boards and shot 0-10 from the FT line. The bright spot on the line was Ben Wallace who scored all 6 points from the line going 6-8.
Danny Granger led the Pacers with 21 points. The Pistons next game is at New Jersey at 12pm on Saturday.
