Pistons 116, Cavaliers 77
DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - A 10-2 run to start the game and the Detroit Pistons go on to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 116-77 on Tuesday night in one of the NBA's most lopsided games of the season.
As heard on WWJ 950 - the Pistons pounded the Cavaliers who started out sluggish and ended with a total collapase.
Brandon Knight scored a team high 28 points, followed by Tayshaun Prince 15 points, and Greg Monroe finshed with a double/double scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Pistons.
Detroit led 61-38 at halftime and scored the first 16 points of the third quarter. It was 100-50 after three.
The Cavaliers were without rookie point guard Kyrie Irving, who was out with a right shoulder problem and hasn't played since April 3. Irving could return Wednesday night against Philadelphia.
Cleveland forward Alonzo Gee was a late scratch because of a left ankle sprain.
