Pistons 102, Orlando 95
DETROIT (97.1 The Ticket) - Ben Wallace picks up his 7000th career defensive rebound and the Detroit Pistons beat the Orlando Magic 102-95 Tuesday night.
A powerhouse outing by Orlando's Glen Davis scoring 31 points with 10 rebounds didn't effect the momentum of the Pistons as Greg Monroe put in 22 points and had 11 rebounds on the night.
Wallace didn't contribute much on the night but did have six rebounds which gave him 7000 career defensive rebounds. Asked by WWJ's Rhonda Moss what that means to him: "It means a lot of guys miss shots," said an understated Wallace.
Ben Gordon, just back after a groin injury, scored 18 points and Tayshaun Prince and Jason Maxiell both had 15 points.
The lead bounced between the Pistons and Magic, with Detroit up by three points at the half. But the Pistons (19-33) took control in the second half and never relinquished control to Orlando (32-21).
Pistons take on the Washington Wizards Thursday at 7:30 p.m. - catch all the game action on 97.1 The Ticket beginning at 7:10 p.m.
