PHOTOS: Man Wanted For Questioning In Random Shootings

BRIGHTON (WWJ) - Authorities have released surveillance images police believe may be related to two dozen random roadway shootings. The photos are of a man at the Mobil Gas Station in Brighton on Oct. 27.

Investigators would like to speak with the man as a "potential witness."

Meantime the task force is continuing its investigation into a series of 24 known shooting incidents that occurred between Oct. 16 and Oct. 27.

The suspect is believed to have fired a handgun at moving cars from a vehicle. Investigators say they are pursuing a number of leads and have received significant cooperation from the public.

So far, only one person has been struck by a bullet. That man, who was shot in his backside while driving on I-96 last Saturday near the Fowlerville exit, is recovering from his injury.

The suspect, who remains at large, is described as a white male in his late twenties or early thirties.  One witness described him as "clean-shaven."  However, police say it's possible he may change his appearance.

Anyone with information about the man in these photos or any of these incidents is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP.
