Peyton Manning Retires With Perfect Record Against 5 Teams....Including The Lions

In 266 career NFL games over 18 seasons, there's only five teams that Peyton Manning never lost to.
Those teams include the Arizona Cardinals (3-0), the Cleveland Browns (7-0), the Minnesota Vikings (4-0), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-0) and the Detroit Lions (4-0).
Granted, Manning spent his entire career in the AFC and didn't have many chances to play against the Lions, but the Hall of Fame quarterback put up some of his best numbers against the Lions in just four games.
Manning posted a 118.3 quarterback rating against Detroit, the second best in his career against any opponent (New Orleans Saints, 121.0).
The best of those games against the Lions came in 2004 when he went an absurd 23-for-28 with six touchdowns and a 141.4 quarterback rating in a 41-9 thrashing at Ford Field on Thanksgiving.
You can see highlights of that game HERE.
Manning's last outing against the Lions -- in Week 3 of the 2015 season -- was a little less commanding. He went 31-for-42 with 324 yards and one touchdown.
Manning will in no way be remembered for his dominance over the Lions, but it doesn't hurt his legacy having never lost to one of the more lowlier NFL teams.
