Pelosi To UAW: Dems Are "Coming Back"
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had a message for the more than one thousand United Auto Workers Union delegates at a legislative convention in Washington, D.C.
The California Congresswoman, now the House Democratic Leader, says Democrats are "coming back," and "Our taking back the House is in sight."
Pelosi says Democrats need to win about 25 seats in 2012 to recapture the House, which fell to Republican control following the 2010 midterm elections.
Pelosi was warmly received by the UAW delegates, receiving several standing ovations. She thanked the union for its early support of President Obama's health care reform proposals, and said the domestic auto industry is "key to keeping America number one."
UAW President Bob King called Pelosi the "best speaker of the House we've ever had. She's always there for us."
