Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash
FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) - Farmington Hills Police are searching for the person responsible for the death of a 21-year-old woman hit and killed on 13 Mile Road near Halsted.
Police say the woman was standing in the streets shortly after leaving her Farmington Hills home at around 10 p.m. Wednesday when she was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on 13 Mile.
The vehicle, described by witnesses as a black or dark colored Mazda XL7 crossover, continued traveling eastbound on 13 Mile Road. It then pulled to the side of the road briefly and continued eastbound on 13 Mile Road.
The victim died from her injuries.
Evidence was recovered at the scene of the crash. Police believe that damage may be to the front of the vehicle, on driver's side.
