Pedestrian Dies After Hit And Run Crash
BERLIN TWP. (WWJ) - A 48-year-old Berlin Township man has died from injuries sustained in a hit and run traffic crash early Friday morning.
According to St. Clair County Sheriff Tim Donnellon, witnesses called police around 1:45 a.m. to report a man lying in the road.
When Deputies responded they found Christopher Demrose, who apparently was walking on Hough Road, west of Berville Road. Donnellon said Demrose was likely struck by a passing vehicle, which then left the scene.
Demrose was transported to McLaren Hospital in Mt. Clemens but died from his injuries.
Donnellon said they don't have any information on the vehicle involved and are reaching out the public for tips that may help them solve the mystery.
