Patriot Flag To Fly High In Michigan
LANSING (WWJ) - The Patriot Flag will be flying high in Michigan on Tuesday.
The more than 1,700-square-foot flag honoring those who died in the 9-11 terrorist attacks is scheduled to be flown at the state Capitol. The flag is making a cross-country trip, and Michigan is the first stop since Navy Seals killed the al-Qaeda chief. The goal is for the flag to fly in all 50 states as the 10-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks approaches.
The White House, meanwhile, is trying to decide whether to release graphic photos of a dead Osama bin Laden, and video of his burial at sea.
How do WWJ listeners feel about that? Following are some of the comments received from listeners:
"They should not release videos or pictures. I think we should trust the word of our Navy Seals and our president of the United States."
"I believe 100 percent that it should be showed. That way people can see the justice."
"I don't think this video should be used of Osama bin Laden's killing."
"It wasn't too gory to show all the news coverage when the towers came down and all the people that he killed, so as far as I'm concerned, I want proof that he's dead."
"I absolutely think they should, uh, show the video of Osama bin Laden. What was more gruesome than watching the 9-11 live with people jumping out of 90-story buildings to their death?"
