PAT CAPUTO: With Right Decisions, Tigers Can Win AL Central Next Year
The Tigers of 2010 were a study in contrast.
They featured a bonafide American League Most Valuable Player candidate in Miguel Cabrera. Justin Verlander was again one of the top pitchers in the American League, at least statistically. If center fielder Austin Jackson doesn't win the AL Rookie of the Year Award, he probably should. I know, for certain, he will receive a first-place vote on at least one of the 28 ballots cast — mine. I suspect I won't be alone.
