Pat Caputo: Tigers' Victory Could Be A Turning Point, Not A Last Hurrah
DETROIT — It's true.
The Tigers remain down three games to two in the American League Championship Series. They still must go on the road to face the Texas Rangers, who are noticeably better in their home ball park.
It could very well turn out the Tigers' 7-5 victory in Game 5 Thursday at Comerica Park will be window dressing.
That one last thrill for their fans before the Rangers end the series, and the Tigers' season, in Texas.
It's the common view, probably the more realistic one from afar. But not the one that follows the script the Tigers have penned this season. To know this team is to understand just how many times they have rallied.
And they are set up to comeback in this series.
