Pat Caputo: The Old Days Were Really Good, But College Football Is Much Better Now

Tradition is one of the great aspects of college football.

It's impossible to be at Michigan Stadium and not feel the ghosts from the past. Fielding Yost, Tom Harmon, Bo Schembechler and all the great players and teams he fielded - and Desmond Howard and Charles Woodson in the years after.

Same with Michigan State and the Spartans' tremendous teams from the 1950s and 1960s - and the Rose Bowl team George Perles coached in the late 1980s.
