If you look at Rich Rodriguez's body of work as the head football coach at the University of Michigan, there have been many things that have gone wrong.
But, honestly, what has gone right? On the field, Michigan has a 4-16 record in the Big Ten. Three of those victories were over Indiana (twice) and Minnesota. The two victories over Indiana were remarkably close. Michigan State has as many Big Ten wins at Michigan Stadium as the Wolverines since Rodriguez has been head coach — two.
The Wolverines' current defense is the worst in school history. Last Saturday, Penn State, which doesn't have a very good team this season, started a redshirt freshman walk-on with precious little experience at quarterback - and nonethless just rolled over Michigan's defense.
