Because the Lions fell into an abyss never experienced before in the National Football League, the task in front of them – the next game – is usually monumental.
This week is no different. While routing the St. Louis Rams Sunday at Ford Field provided the Lions with much-needed confidence, a visit to the New York Giants this weekend could just as easily snatch it away.
The Lions are still in "putting out the fires" mode. This time it is the record for the longest road losing streak on the line. The Lions can tie their own record, set from 2001-2003 (Matt Millen, the early years), with a loss.
