PAT CAPUTO: For The Detroit Lions, There Is No Such Thing As An "Ugly" Victory
The Lions' 7-3 victory over the Green Bay Packers Sunday was not aesthetically pleasing.
It was the classic ugly win, spawned either by their great defensive performance, or self-destruction by the Packers, depending how you choose to view it.
The point is, though, it was a victory.
For a team that has had many so-called "impressive close losses" — or whatever you want to label them — this was obviously the preferred option, and a welcome change for a fan base that has been through the football version of purgatory forever and a day.
