PAT CAPUTO: Biggest Indictment Of Rodriguez Is Dantonio's Success

There remain those who think Michigan football coach Rich Rodriguez inherited a bare cupboard from his predecessor, Lloyd Carr.
Or some who buy into the theory the Wolverines are just incredibly young, which is why their defense is so amazingly porous.
Or who see Michigan's offense as being tremendously prolific, when there is overwhelming evidence to suggest the Wolverines aren't nearly as effective against the top teams on their schedule.
What nobody has an answer for, even the most ardent Rich Rodriguez supporters, is how his career in Ann Arbor has correlated to Mark Dantonio's at Michigan State.
They are like side-by-side elevators.
One, containing Dantonio, is going up.
The other, with Rodriguez, is headed down.
