Parolee Arrested After B&E Is Caught On Tape
WATERFORD (WWJ) - A 38-year-old Waterford man who was on parole for a breaking and entering offense has been arrested in connection with a break-in at an auto shop.
Police say Robert Hale was arrested earlier this week after investigators received numerous tips from the public identifying the man seen on security camera footage.
On July 6, officers responded to an alarm at the Cooley Tire and Auto Center on Cooley Lake Road around 4:20 a.m. and arrived to find a bay door window that had been broken out.
A review of the store video system showed a white male suspect enter the business, break open the cash register and remove cash from the register. The suspect also took an electronic vehicle code reader before exiting the business.
Police say Hale, who currently on parole for breaking and entering, has an extensive criminal history that includes burglary, larceny, uttering and publishing, fraud, possession of controlled substances and auto theft.
An investigation is ongoing. If you have any information, call Waterford Police Detective Lawrence Novak at 248-618-7515.
