Parents Of Soldier Killed In Afghanistan Post Message On Facebook
DETROIT (WWJ) - A U.S. soldier from Michigan has died in Afghanistan.
Twenty-five-year-old Army Capt. Drew Russell, from the Kalamazoo County community of Scotts, died Saturday (Oct. 8th) with another soldier, when their unit was attacked with a rocket-propelled grenade in Kandahar province.
They were assigned to the 4th Infantry Division,... based at Fort Carson, Colo.
Russell's parents, Patti and Jim Russell posted a message on Facebook in memory of their son, Monday morning. The parents posted the Cavalrymen's Poem and ended the poem by simply writing:

Russell is the 15th U.S. service member from Michigan to be killed supporting military operations in Afghanistan.
