Palace To Honor Kid Rock At Pistons Home Opener
They'll be raising a new banner at the Palace Friday night, to hang alongside those honoring Detroit Pistons greats Isiah Thomas, Bob Lanier and Dave Bing. This superstar isn't a basketball player, however.
Kid Rock, a regular at Pistons games, will be honored this evening with an updated banner that recognizes his 21 combined sellout performances at the basketball arena and the nearby DTE Energy Music Theatre. The first banner honoring the Macomb County native went up in 2009.
Kid Rock is to be recognized at the end of the first quarter of Detroit's home opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The singer's new album is due out next month.
