Packers' Pickett Returns From Concussion; Looks To Play Against Lions

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — The return of veteran defensive lineman Ryan Pickett won't automatically fix everything that has been wrong with the Green Bay Packers' run defense the past few weeks.
It can't hurt, though.
Pickett was back at practice Wednesday after sitting out the past two games to recover from a concussion sustained in the Packers' Dec. 11 victory over the Oakland Raiders. Pickett was frustrated having to wait so long, but understands why the team held him out.
Pickett isn't as flashy a player as fellow defensive lineman B.J. Raji, but the Packers' run defense clearly suffered in Pickett's absence.
He had a tough time watching the defense struggle, and says he hopes to play a lot in Sunday's regular-season finale against Detroit to help the defense gain momentum for the playoffs.
