Outdoor Retailer Moosejaw Opens Detroit Pop-Up Shop
DETROIT (WWJ/AP) - National outdoor retailer Moosejaw is opening a temporary pop-up shop on Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit just in time for the Christmas shopping season.
The store, located between Grand River and State streets, opens Thursday and will operate through Dec. 22.
Brands like The North Face, Patagonia, Arc'Teryx, Sorel and Timbuk2 are among the lines that can be found at the shop.
Moosejaw president and chief executive Eoin Comerford calls downtown Detroit "the country's newest hotspot for creativity and innovation."
Moosejaw opened a store 20 years ago northwest of Detroit in Oakland County's Keego Harbor. The retailer's headquarters is in Madison Heights, north of the city.
Its downtown Detroit lease was brokered by Bedrock Real Estate Services, Rock Ventures' full-service real estate firm. Rock Ventures is the umbrella entity for Dan Gilbert's portfolio of companies, investments and real estate.
