One Dead After Detroit Strip Club Shooting
DETROIT (WWJ) - Shots were fired following an argument outside the Pretty Woman Lounge early Friday morning on Detroit's east side, leaving one person dead and another wounded.
According to police, a person who wanted to get into the club at 7 Mile and Van Dyke was denied entrance. Shortly after the argument, a gunman open fired, killing one and injuring another.
The man killed worked as a valet at the club. One of the club's dancers told WWJ the man was only working at the club to save up some money to buy a house for him and his wife.
"It's just a shock and tragic. Boo was a real good guy. He was like a big brother to me and the rest of the dancers that work here. You know, he made sure we got in and out the club safely and like I said, we're all just devastated."
Police are currently searching for the suspect, who ran off after the shooting.
The injured victim was taken to an area hospital. No one inside the club was injured in the shooting.
