Ohio State Players Troll Michigan State Over Alabama Loss

After beating Michigan, Ohio State, and Iowa, there wasn't any doubt that Michigan State deserved a spot in the College Football Playoff.
However there were some people who believed Ohio State was more deserving of a playoff spot based on their overall body of work. These arguments stemmed around the fact that OSU lost on a last second field goal to MSU which allowed the Spartans to advance to the Big Ten Title game and defeat Iowa. Ohio State then knocked around Michigan in Ann Arbor. Some thought that since Ohio State was the defending champions, they deserved more leeway in the selection process.
I disagree with any of those arguments. Without question, Michigan State deserved to be in the playoff based on their wins.
The Spartans advanced to the college football playoff and were blown out by Alabama. Remember that game? 38-0.
Ohio State played in the Fiesta Bowl and defeated Notre Dame handedly by a score of 44-28.
Now there are a few Ohio State players who think they would've given Alabama a better fight than the Spartans dide.
"I think we would have definitely done a better job," Ohio State defensive back Tyvis Powell said this week during Senior Bowl preparations in Mobile, Alabama (via Al.com). "I was shocked [Michigan State] didn't score a point. It is what it is. It was very disappointing. But, Alabama, it was their year. I guess everybody has their year and it was their time to win."
Do you think Ohio State would've given Alabama a better football game? Would the Buckeyes have gotten blown out by the Crimson Tide too?
"I didn't get to watch much film on them, but I know it would have been a hell of a game," Ohio State tight end Nick Vannett said. "(Alabama) might have done a little better this year than they were last year. And I think the way we played in the last couple of games, we could have played against any team in the country. I know it would have been another war like it was the year before. So it would have been interesting to see."
We'll never know the answer to this question. I personally don't believe Ohio State would've beaten Alabama. But I also don't think they would've lost by 38 points.
