Objective Obamacare Info: Oakwood Hospital Hosts Seminars
DEARBORN (WWJ) - With the deadline for the first Obamacare enrollment period just about two weeks away, a metro Detroit hospital system is hosting seminars to help get consumers educated and enrolled.
If you want insurance under the Affordable Care Act, the initial enrollment deadline for coverage beginning January 1, 2014 is Monday, Dec. 23.
That's why Oakwood Healthcare is hosting two community education forums and enrollment opportunities Monday, Dec. 9, at its Dearborn campus.
Certified navigators will be on-site to get consumers who bring the required documents signed up through the federal healthcare marketplace.
"They will get objective information, the latest facts, and the most up to date information about all their choices," said Oakwood spokesperson Mary Zatina.
Reservations are recommended for the sessions, which will run from 2 p.m. -to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 7 p-m Monday at Oakwood Hospital.
