Oakland, Mich. Routs South Dakota 101-83
ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) — Travis Bader made eight 3-pointers in scoring 28 points and Oakland, Mich., defeated South Dakota 101-83 Thursday night in the Summit League opener for both teams.
Bader was 8 of 13 from 3-point range and 10 for 16 overall. He made three 3-pointers in the first two minutes and the Golden Grizzlies (5-2) quickly opened up a double-digit lead, which they kept after the first four minutes. Oakland led 54-37 at halftime and by as many as 26 points in the second half.
Reggie Hamilton, who had scored 34 and 35 points respectively in his last two games, had 16 this time. Drew Valentine scored 18 and Corey Petros had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Golden Grizzlies.
Louie Krogman led the Coyotes (2-4) with 26 points. Trevor Gruis had 20 points and Charlie Westbrook scored 19 for South Dakota.
