Novi Man Will Run Boston Marathon For A Cause
NOVI (WWJ) - A Novi man, who's run over a dozen marathons across the U.S., is running a marathon Monday for a good cause - in Boston.
Terry Harvill says he's run marathons in New York, Florida, and Alaska. But he says, he's always wanted to run the Boston Marathon.
"I"m running for the Perkins School for the Blind, which is, I think, one of the oldest schools for the blind in the United States - if you go back in history - Helen Keller was actually one of the students at the school," said Harvill.
"The Boston Marathon is one of those marathons that have always kind of been on the list of things to do ... so I thought it was time to do this one," said Harvill.
He is one of 10 runners on the Perkins Charity team who will run 26.2 miles to raise over $50,000 for people who are blind or visually impaired.
