Nomination Deadline Extended For Automation Alley's 12th Annual Awards Gala
TROY -- Automation Alley, Michigan's largest technology business association, announced this week that the award nomination deadline has been extended for its 12th Annual Awards Gala to be held Sept. 28 at the GM Heritage Center in Sterling Heights. Completed nomination forms must now be received by Thursday, July 26 at 5 p.m.
The Automation Alley Annual Awards Gala celebrates the accomplishments, success stories and continued growth of the individuals and groups leading the region toward a bright technology future. Award winners exemplify the best among the region's technology community.
Award categories include:
* Automation Alley Member of the Year (2011 winner: Al Carpinelli, Logic Solutions, Inc.)
* Educational Program of the Year (2011 winner: Utica Community Schools Center for Science and Industry)
* Entrepreneur of the Year (2011 winner: Paul Angott, president, Angott Medical Products, LLC)
* Global Trader of the Year (2011 winner: The Wireless Source)
* Technology Company of the Year (2011 winner: Lakeside Software Inc.)
To be eligible, the nominated organization or individual must have significant operations in Southeast Michigan but may have headquarters elsewhere. Companies may be nominated in multiple categories, but a separate completed nomination form is required for each category. Nomination forms must be completed in full with all required information to be considered. Nominations are open to all companies regardless of membership and may be in the corporate, nonprofit, government or academic arenas. All nomination forms must be completed online at www.automationalley.com/awardsgala.
Award recipients will be announced at the gala. Finalists must be present at the ceremony to accept an award. The cost to attend is $175 per person for finalists regardless of membership status.
