No Timetable In Aiyana Case

Nearly two months since the accidental shooting death of 7-year-old Aiyana Jones of Detroit, Michigan State Police say there is no timetable with their ongoing investigation into the case.

At issue, claims of excessive use of force by Detroit police during the commission of a "no knock" raid on her home on Lilybridge Street back on May 16th, including the use of a flash grenade as they entered.

"The detectives as well as the forensic science division crime lab and everybody involved are continuing to work through every piece of the investigation. We are not running into any brick walls and we're moving forward with it," said Michigan State Police Captain Harold Love.

In addition to the independent investigation, there's also the matter of the as-yet-undisclosed video of the raid that exists, captured by a video crew from the A&E reality series "The First 48."

The Jones family has also filed a wrongful death lawsuit.
