No Students On Waterford School Bus Involved In Accident
PONTIAC (WWJ) - Waterford Transportation Department officials say no students were aboard a Waterford school bus that was involved in a Friday morning accident in downtown Pontiac.
The incident happened in the city's downtown area, on southbound Woodward and Orchard Lake Road.
WWJ's Bill Szumanski was above the scene in the LaFontaine Cadillac Buick GMC Chopper.
"Its unclear if the malfunctioning signals may have contributed to the accident... but a large pickup truck was on its side on the sidewalk and a Waterford School District bus was blocking the intersection," Szumanski said.
According to authorities, a Unifirst uniform truck hit the bus and may have also hit one or two other vehicles.
Officials said the driver of the bus was uninjured. An investigation is ongoing.
