No Charges Yet In Son's Alleged Deadly Attack On Family
FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) - There have been no charges filed yet in the case of a 19-year-old Farmington Hills man accused of attacking his family with a baseball bat.
The Oakland County Prosecutor's Office is expected to start reviewing a report from Farmington Hills police on Tuesday regarding the murder of 52-year-old Robert Cipriano.
An arraignment for the two people charged in the case could happen at any time, although it likely won't be until Wednesday as prosecutors have a lot of questions about the case.
Tucker Cipriano is suspected of beating his father to death Sunday night. His mother, Rose, and 17-year-old brother, Sal, were also severely beaten. They remained hospitalized in critical condition Tuesday morning. Another teen brother and an 8-year-old sister escaped without injury.
About 100 people filled St. Fabian Church in Farmington Hills Monday night to pray for and support the family, including Kevin Pitt -- a U of M Dearborn student who was coached by Cipriano as a kid.
"He was only a coach to me in the 5th grade, but, you know even 8 years later he would talk to me about school or ... how things were going in my life," said Pitt. "Just to know that someone cares that much 8 years later about, you know, some 10-year-old that he coached -- that's just an amazing thing to me."
Tucker Cipriano had recently been kicked out of his family's house following several run-ins with police. Police said he may have returned to the home looking for money.
The name of the second suspect hasn't been released.
