No Arrests In Deaths Of 4 Killed Execution-Style
UPDATE 12/6: Arson Investigators Probe Fire At Detroit Home Where 4 Murdered
DETROIT (WWJ) - There have been no arrests and there are no suspects in the shooting deaths of four people at a home on Detroit's east side.
Three young men and one woman were found dead Tuesday night, shot in the back of the head execution-style at the home in the State Fair and Hayes neighborhood near the Harper Woods city line.
Detroit Police Sgt. Eren Stephens said the victims were all in their 20s, but no names have been released.
A new resident on the same block of Tacome, identifying himself only as Jerome, said the neighborhood is no different from anywhere else in Detroit.
"It's just a sign of the times, I believe. I mean, the way the city is now ... to me it's just the way society is anyway," he told WWJ Newsradio 950's Ron Dewey. "There's a lot of drugs out here; the economy is bad; there aren't many jobs ... I guess people do what they do to survive."
The woman who discovered the bodies said there was an apparent drug raid at the house earlier in the day. Police are not confirming that, but did say the killings may have been drug-related.
