Nissan Recalls Older SUVs Over Steering Problem
DETROIT (WWJ) - Nissan is recalling more than a quarter of a million older SUV's because of possible steering issues.
WWJ's Jeff Glibert reports the issue involved 1996 through 2004 Nissan Pathfinders and Infinity QX4s. Nissan said there's a chance that road salt and water can accumulate and cause corrosion that could result in a loss of steering.
So far, there's only been one accident reported, and Nissan said the incident cannot definitively be linked to this problem.
Nissan is only ordering the recall in cold-weather states and in Canada.
