Night Of Entertainment For Lions Fans
DETROIT (WWJ) - The Detroit Lions are in New Orleans getting ready to play their first playoff game in years against the New Orleans Saints Saturday. WWJ Newsradio 950's Beth Fisher reports that Lions fans are excited.
Lots of Lions fans like Raymond Shaw, of Bloomfield Hills, expect the Lions to beat the Saints.
"The score is going to be Lions 42 and the (Saints score) is going to be 14," predicted Shaw.
He'll be watching at home as will many fans, like Tim Reinman.
"We're going to have people over -- it'll be fun, we're going to have a martini party, we're doing a very classy Lions party," said Reinman.
Reinman expects they'll have some good food to go with those martinis, but says he's not handling the food....joking that he's not even allowed to invite anyone over.
Devinto Gilchrist, of Lansing, will be watching. "Fingers crossed - if they play good defense and if our offense is clicking - they'll win," said Gilchrist.
You can hear the Lions in their first playoff game since 1999 on our sister station - 97-1 The Ticket beginning at 7 p.m.
