Nick Fairley And Willie Young Fined $15,750 Each

ALLEN PARK (CBS DETROIT) - This time, it is not Ndamukong Suh being fined - at least not so far.
Instead, this week the hammer is coming down on Suh's fellow defensive linemen Nick Fairley and Willie Young. Both told reporters Thursday they have each been fined $15,750 for hits on quarterback Josh McCown that earned them penalties in Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears.
Fairley, a third-year defensive tackle, provided a big boost to Chicago's attempted game-saving drive in the game's final minutes with a penalty for unnecessary roughness. The Bears went from second down and 10 yards to go at their own 26-yard line to having a first down on their 49-yard line. Fairley did come back with a sack the next play, though.
Young, a third-year defensive end, got in trouble for roughing the passer, a penalty that allowed the Bears a redo on their attempt at a two-point conversion that would have tied the game at 21. Fortunately for Young and the Lions, Chicago could not convert on its second opportunity either, and Detroit prevailed.
The indiscretions by Fairley and Young were two of four personal fouls committed by the Lions Sunday. Young and tight end Joseph Fauria also got called and assessed 15 yards for facemasks.
