NFL Lockout Helps Grahams' Golf Game
ANN ARBOR (AP) - Philadelphia Eagles defensive end and former UofM football player Brandon Graham says the NFL lockout has helped his golf game.
It's also helped his surgically repaired right knee.
Graham and Cleveland Cavaliers guard Manny Harris were among the locked-out athletes at Barton Hills Country Club on Monday to support the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy. The open-enrollment, tuition-free school is scheduled to open in September in Detroit.
Graham admits his golf game was terrible. But he played with demo clubs in Los Angeles after rehabbing his knee for two straight weeks to get ready for Rose's golf outing.
The 6-foot-2, 268-pound Detroiter was wearing basketball shoes and apparel on the first tee. He then sent his shot about 50 yards to the right in a bunker.
