Next LTU Event Tackles Health Care Technology

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) -- Health care has been in the news just a bit lately. So the next Unwired Coffee Series at Lawrence Technological University on Thursday, Feb. 13 will tackle the issue -- and its tech-related implications.

Join WWJ Newsradio 950 Technology Editor Matt Roush and a panel of experts to discuss health care and high tech -- everything from the impact of the Affordable Care Act to electronic medical records to online health information exchange to high-tech treatment. We'll also discuss Michigan's current role and future prospects in the exciting future of health care technology, including both pharmaceutical research and development and medical device R&D.

The event begins with networking, coffee and rolls at 7:30 a.m. in the University Technology and Learning Center on Lawrence Tech's campus, 21000 W. 10 Mile Road in Southfield. (Look for the WWJ signs. LOTS of WWJ signs. And you can click here for directions.) The program runs from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. or so.

Panelists for the event include Mark Bennett, President, MJBennett PLLC; Jim Giordano, CEO, CareTech Solutions; Dennis Nash, CEO, DataSpeaks; Stephanie Rosenbaum, CEO, TecEd Inc., User Research and Design; Subra Sripada, Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative and Information Officer, Beaumont Health System.
