GRAND RAPIDS -- Officials from GR Current, the newly rechristened West Michigan Science and Technology Initiative, will speak at the sixth annual Great Lakes Software Excellence Conference on Monday, April 29 in Grand Rapids.

Said Jeff Royce, GR Current Interim Director: "This event will give us the opportunity to show that GR Current is more than just work space. With an ever-growing software industry in West Michigan, our aim is to help those tech entrepreneurs find and leverage resources that will take businesses to the next level in forming solidly performing ventures."

GR Current will hold its official launch party on June 4 at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts in Grand Rapids, bringing together the region's life science and emerging technology entrepreneurs, investors and stakeholders.

This year's GLSEC will take place April 29 at the Prince Conference Center at Calvin College in Grand Rapids.
