New York Post: Knicks Could Target Pistons' Jennings In Trade Discussions

Without one minute of game time under his belt this season, Brandon Jennings is becoming an early target on the trade market.
The Detroit Pistons may be willing to trade the seventh-year point guard if the right deal presents itself this winter, and the New York Knicks could be interested, according to the New York Post.
"One point guard available now is Detroit's backup Brandon Jennings. He's returning from an Achilles tear and could make his season debut this month. Sources indicated most teams would wait until Jennings plays a few games because of the nastiness of Achilles injuries.
The Pistons have their new starting point guard in Reggie Jackson, and Jennings is in the last year of a three-year, $24 million deal. Trading the pact of Calderon, a former Piston, for Jennings straight up wouldn't do the trick, but adding Grant or a big man to a package could be more enticing."
However, the Pistons may be enticed to keep Jennings, given how inconsistent the team's bench has performed this season. Jennings -- even coming off an Achilles injury -- should be an upgrade over the combination of Steve Blake and Spencer Dinwiddie the Pistons have used at backup point guard.
Jennings has noted that he would be willing to come off the bench behind starter Reggie Jackson, even though he's only played three games as a reserve in his career.
Though he's been working in on-the-court drills, a timetable has not been given for when Jennings is set to return to the Pistons' lineup.
