New IT Reliability Organization Forming In Metro Detroit

A new organization promoting the reliability of IT infrastructure that has to perform 100 percent of the time is forming in metro Detroit.

The kickoff meeting of the 7X24 Exchange's Southeast Michigan chapter will be Tuesday, Sept. 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Pi Banquet Hall, 28847 Franklin Road in Southfield.

According to one of the organizers, Jami Miller, 7X24 is designed for anyone involved in mission-critical enterprise information systems -- IT, data center, disaster recovery and network-telecommunication managers, computer technologies, building managers, supervisors and engineers. The group's goal is to improve reliability by promoting dialogue among these groups.
